Making your passion your job? Or making your job your passion?
It may seem the same, but there is a subtle difference.
Someone once asked: If given a choice, would I want to be a singer or dancer?
My reply was a definite dancer! She asked why? (When dancing is so hard).
I was curious, and I asked her back. Her choice was the singer. (My husband’s too. Since he happened to be in the conversation)
“But Why?” I asked. “Everybody in the world is a singer?! Or a wannabe at least”
Both their replies, ” Because singing is easier!”
Why make my Life harder?
Hmm mm. I’ve always loved the dancers’ suave moves and agility that I wished I had. I guess a challenge doesn’t deter me from doing things. More importantly, it should be, if I actually liked what I am doing.
Maybe the reason why I wanted to do cool concepts of the Im.Perfect Series is they give a really good challenge and lets me interpret daily life in artistic forms. (Well, doing these make my life meaningful too.)

1.the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
Exactly! Art and it’s emotional power. Ah.The unexplainable emotions.
Excitedly anticipating the outcome of the final pictures and the greatest satisfaction of seeing people with similar interests embracing our works. (it is always a teamwork effort when it comes to our shoots)
Because the whole process is not easy at all, this is also the reason we don’t fall into the typical category of sameness. Overall there is lesser competition. (The reason why dancers are fewer, compared to singers)
We want to be able to create art and deliver value and appreciation to our clients. We made our job our passion. (That is the difference)
I mean, if you are tired of the lalang fields and beach rocks kind of pictures….
Well, don’t misunderstand. There is perfectly nothing wrong with pictures like those. We just wanted to offer one more option for people who appreciate fun and uniqueness.
A good Quote to sum it up:
“The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.”
